HIPAA Privacy and Security Update

The recent economic stimulus bill made dramatic changes to the HIPAA Privacy
and Security Rule. As a result, sponsors of group health plans will have to re-examine and potentially amend their HIPAA privacy notices, policies and procedures, and business associate agreements. Business associates will also need to understand their new obligations under the rules. This webinar will address the new requirements, including the new security breach notification requirement, the expanded application of civil and criminal penalties to business associates, and new rules governing electronic health records.
